As a Software Engineer II, you'll be responsible for working with technical teams to create software solutions that use prevailing technologies and improving the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives.
WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER II ENJOYS MOST

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Understand and code basic features, functions and definitions.
  • Implement pre-designed solutions as instructed by team lead following best practices and approved code patterns.
  • Assists in the design (and understands the implementation of) new functionality based on team guidance and standards.
  • Understand the different Charter applicable technical systems and how to utilize them.
  • Assist in fixes to defects raised. Complete assigned tasks within a given timeframe.
  • Submit code for code review and applies feedback.
  • Facilitate testing of software applications.
  • Execute test plans. Participate in triage sessions and debug reported issues.
  • Provide LOE on a capability level.
  • Develop software under limited supervision.
  • Collaborate with other teams, within a feature team, and/or a focus group.
  • Demonstrate awareness of industry security, regulatory and legal compliance considerations.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Database Management Systems - 6 months - 1+ year
    • Coding, testing and designing software - 6 months to 1+ year
    • Software development methodologies - 6 months to 1+ year
  • Education:
    • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical skills:
    • Basic knowledge of coding principles
    • Knowledge of one major programming language/tool
    • Knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
    • Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development
    • Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines
  • Skills:
    • Understanding of different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum
    • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
    • Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
    • Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
    • Ability to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
    • Showcases capability level work to their team

The base pay for this position generally is between
$75,200.00 and $120,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
