About Tribe AI

At Tribe, we're on a mission to help enterprises realize the value of AI for their business. Every large enterprise wants to use AI to transform how they operate — but many don't have the capabilities to do it. That gap is our opportunity.

We're an AI-native services company that helps enterprises build and deploy best-in-class AI products that deliver real business impact. We partner closely with OpenAI and Anthropic, giving us rare visibility into the most advanced models, roadmaps, and GTM strategies in the world.

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior People Operations Manager to build and own the operational side of Tribe's people function, and to build the infrastructure that lets it scale ahead of the company. Rippling is our source of truth, and you'll make it rock solid. But the real work is what you build on top of it: the integrations, automations, and processes that take manual work out of every hire, change, leave, and exit.

You'll own the full employee lifecycle, from offer through offboarding. You'll own benefits administration end to end, and you'll be the employee advocate and the front door for HR questions. You're a strategic, systems-minded builder who sees a need, raises it, and brings a solution, and you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty.

You'll own the operational side of our people function as a close partner, and you'll be the person who makes our internal systems as thoughtful as what we build for clients. As an AI-native company, we hold ourselves to that standard.

What You'll Be DoingSystems, Automation & Data
  • Own Rippling as our source of truth, and the integrations and automations built on top of it: Ashby, our internal tools, and our MCP and AI integrations

  • Audit and continuously optimize our setup: find what we should be doing better and rebuild it

  • Build and own our reporting function and people data

Employee Lifecycle
  • Own offer generation and sending, from approval through signature

  • Own onboarding, from the backend automation to the new-hire experience

  • Own offboarding, employment changes, leaves of absence, and time-off requests

  • Keep people data accurate and flowing cleanly to cross functional partners

Benefits, Compliance & Work Authorization
  • Own benefits administration end to end: enrollment, renewals, carrier relationships, and evolving our approach as we scale

  • Own state registrations, payroll tax and unemployment registrations, compliance, and record-keeping

  • Run immigration and work authorization alongside outside counsel

  • Create and manage policy

Employee Advocate
  • Be the first stop for HR questions: resolve, or route to the right person

About You
  • A builder with a track record of owning HR operations and systems end to end at a rapidly scaling company (typically 7+ years)

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Rippling implementation and optimization

  • Proven experience building automation and integrations

  • Benefits administration experience across models (PEO, EOR, in-house), including having led or been closely involved in a transition between them

  • Experience with multi-state and international compliance, and with work authorization

  • You see a need, raise it, and bring a solution

  • You value close partnership and collaboration

  • A strategic, systems thinker who is just as comfortable doing the work yourself

  • Fluent with AI tools in your own work, with real examples of automations or workflows you built

Nice to Have
  • Compensation experience: creating and administering bands, benchmarking data, and cycle mechanics

  • Experience with Ashby

  • Experience building MCP or API-based integrations

Why Join Us
  • Ownership: You own the machinery the whole company moves through

  • Leverage: Every hour you spend automating something gives time back to everyone

  • Scope: Systems, benefits, compliance, and the full employee lifecycle in a company that is building its function now

  • Culture: A team that prizes intellectual growth, learning, and being challenged in a supportive environment
