General Summary

We are looking for a Senior HR Generalist who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating great employee experiences while also digging into the operational details that make an effective People function run smoothly.

Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you will own critical areas of HR operations across our distributed workforce, including employee lifecycle management, HRIS optimization, leave administration, multi-state compliance, reporting, and employee support. You will have the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen our HR infrastructure, and partner with employees and managers throughout the organization.

What You'll DoOwn and Improve the Employee Lifecycle

You will manage key moments across the employee journey, ensuring employees have a consistent, compliant, and positive experience from onboarding through offboarding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Administer performance management cycles through Lattice, ensuring successful execution and supporting managers throughout the process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee lifecycle processes and create scalable solutions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR practices align with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Serve as a Trusted Partner to Employees and Managers

You will be a frontline resource for employees and managers, providing thoughtful guidance while helping leaders navigate people-related challenges.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, leaves, and workplace matters.
  • Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR best practices, performance conversations, and employee concerns.
  • Support engagement and culture initiatives, including employee recognition, celebrations, surveys, and learning programs.
  • Approach employee support with empathy, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
Own HR Compliance & Leave Administration

You will be the subject matter expert responsible for ensuring compliance across our multi-state workforce.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage leave administration programs, including FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, Workers’ Compensation, Colorado FAMLI, and other state-mandated leave programs.
  • Guide employees through leave processes, documentation requirements, and return-to-work plans.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers, vendors, and state agencies as needed.
  • Monitor evolving federal, state, and local employment regulations and help ensure company compliance.
Optimize HR Systems, Data & Processes

You will play a key role in improving the systems and processes that enable our People team to scale effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary administrator for our HRIS, ensuring system accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Audit HR workflows, identify process gaps, and implement improvements.
  • Partner with Paylocity support to troubleshoot issues and optimize system capabilities.
  • Build and analyze HR reports and metrics, including headcount, turnover, leave utilization, and other workforce insights.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and create more efficient ways of working.
Support Our Workplace Experience

As the primary onsite representative of the People team, you will help create a welcoming and effective workplace experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the onsite People team presence during core business hours.
  • Support our upcoming office relocation by coordinating logistics, vendors, and workplace transition activities.
  • Manage day-to-day workplace operations, including vendor relationships, supplies, and office needs.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to create an exceptional onsite candidate experience.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a Senior HR Generalist or similar HR Business Partner-level role.
  • Hands-on experience managing employee lifecycle processes, HR operations, and compliance activities.
  • Strong experience administering complex leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD/LTD, Workers’ Compensation, and state-specific leave programs. Experience with Colorado FAMLI is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-state employment compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing or administering HRIS platforms, including system configuration, reporting, audits, and data integrity.
  • Ability to analyze HR data and create meaningful reports and insights.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring an onsite presence at our office a minimum of 3 days per week (typically Tuesday through Thursday) during core business hours.
  • Ownership Mindset: Highly autonomous and comfortable in a lean environment where you must balance operational execution with elevated employee coaching.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Paylocity, Lattice, and Workable. 
  • Deep experience with other systems and how to navigate HR systems.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Experience working in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Experience building or improving HR processes in a growing organization.

Compensation

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary range for this role in Colorado is $56,805 - $94,675. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary this position will be eligible for an attractive performance based variable compensation plan.
