This Senior Cyber Engineer position is located at Naval Station Norfolk. The selected candidate will serve as the subject matter expert for the ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) platform. Candidate must have expert level experience with ACAS to include developing robust designs, platform installations, scanner deployments, tailored configurations, generating reports, and cybersecurity hardening. Will be an expert troubleshooter in Windows domains, Linux environments, and network connectivity.
Typical duties and responsibilities:
Interface with cross-functional team members and be a respected liaison for BAE Systems
Oversee updates to the tenant asset scan lists and validate accuracy over a large multi-tenant environment.
Handle regular updates to Tenable.sc (SecurityCenter), Nesus scanners and plugins.
Apply DoD STIGs (Secure Technical Implementation Guides) to operating systems and applications.
Maintain and update SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures) for ACAS use within the Enterprise.
Assist stakeholders with interpreting scan results to remediate and mitigate patch and configuration vulnerabilities.
Coordinate baseline scans with tenants and generate ad hoc scans when requested.
Facilitate credential rotation with system owners.
Assist in training other members of the compliance team.
This position is located in Norfolk, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Norfolk or surrounding areas.
