Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Client Engagement Manager & Verizon Account Manager who will own, grow, and strengthen our strategic relationship with Verizon, while driving revenue across assigned telecom accounts. This role integrates strategic account management, carrier partnership leadership, and enterprise sales execution with a strong focus on forecasting, pipeline management, and customer success.

The ideal candidate has experience working with major telecom carriers, understands complex technical sales cycles, and operates effectively with executive, operational, and engineering stakeholders. This position is responsible for positioning PTP (IEEE1588), NTP, GNSS-based timing, and holdover technologies that support 5G, LTE, transport, and critical network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Management & Revenue Growth

  • Drive new business development and upsell/cross-sell within assigned accounts.
  • Develop and execute account plans, pipeline strategies, and revenue forecasts.
  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → solution design → proposal → negotiation → close.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and forecasting.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to guide strategy.
  • Support strategic pricing, packaging, and solution positioning.

Leadership, Influence & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal teams.
  • Partner with marketing, product, engineering, and operations to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Provide customer and Verizon insights to shape product and services roadmap.
  • Support executive‑level presentations and business reviews.
  • Mentor junior team members as needed.

Strategic Client Engagement

  • Develop and execute insight‑driven sales strategies tailored to customer industry and objectives.
  • Identify key customer stakeholders and build consensus around proposed solutions.
  • Contribute to a global team environment by supporting collaborative sales strategies.
  • Analyze performance, reinforce brand positioning, and communicate customer strategies to leadership.
  • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, program managers, and contracting personnel.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in sales, account management, or business development, ideally within telecom or technology.
  • Proven experience managing large strategic accounts; prior Verizon or Tier‑1 carrier experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise and technical solution sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with GNSS, SATCOM, PTP, NTP, and network timing systems is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar)

Benefits of working at Microchip

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $103,000.00 - $200,000.00.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
