Job Description

We're looking for a commercially sharp, data-driven marketer to drive growth for Wise Business across the US and Canada. You'll own the regional marketing plan end to end – from strategy through execution – while building the scalable GTM function Wise Business needs to win with SMBs and startups in North America.

This role sits at the center of a matrix organization: you'll set regional direction and own outcomes, while partnering closely with Global channel teams (Content, Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, PR, CRM, Events, Influencers) who execute globally, and with Product to shape where Wise Business goes next in this region. You'll also partner closely with the Global Wise Business Marketing team in London, ensuring North America's strategy stays aligned with the broader Wise Business direction, sharing what's working regionally, and bringing global best practices back into the market.

Responsibilities

Regional Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute regional marketing plans for Wise Business in North America, in partnership with product and channel leads.
  • Own execution end to end and be accountable for outcomes.
  • Own the budget allocated to Wise Business initiatives in North America, allocating spend across channels and initiatives to hit payback targets.
  • Build a scalable GTM function for Wise Business across the US and Canada.
  • Own North American market insights: know the customer, the competitive landscape, and where the opportunity is.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Global channel teams on the execution of acquisition channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, PR, CRM, and Influencers, bringing regional insight into global strategy.
  • Partner with Product to identify opportunities to strengthen the Wise Business offering in North America.
  • Partner with Global teams to close strategic partnerships with VC funds, startups, founder communities, and other ecosystem players.

Product & Customer Expertise

  • Become an expert in selling the product – understand the customer, their objections, and what actually converts.
  • Bring that expertise back into planning, positioning, and channel strategy.

Qualifications

  • You understand unit economics, payback period, CAC/LTV, and opportunity sizing, using them to make rigorous budget and channel allocation decisions. You have directly owned a marketing budget and held accountability for its efficiency and return.
  • You have experience designing and running geo-tests, A/B tests, and incrementality experiments in close partnership with Marketing Analytics and Data Science teams.
  • Proven background marketing to small businesses, startups, freelancers, or sole proprietors—specifically navigating shorter sales cycles, lower ACV, and self-serve or low-touch funnels.
  • You are an influential leader who can align regional priorities with global functional teams, driving execution without direct reporting authority over every lever.
  • Experience building or scaling a Sales-to-Marketing lead motion, supporting lead routing and sales-assist models alongside self-serve growth.
  • Direct experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams to shape user journeys and feature launches.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced matrix organization with competing priorities and high autonomy.

Nice-to-Have

  • Background in B2B fintech, payments, banking, or multi-currency/cross-border products (understanding concepts like FX markups, batch payments, and mid-market rates).
  • Experience within or tracking the North American SMB fintech competitive landscape (e.g., Mercury, Brex, Airwallex, Bluevine).
  • Hands-on experience using industry events and sponsorships as a performance-driven demand generation channel.
  • Background designing scalable evergreen campaigns targeting both customer acquisition and post-onboarding retention/LTV expansion.

Additional Information

  • Workplace Model: This is a hybrid role requiring office presence (at least 3 days); it is not a fully remote position. During your first 3 months in the role, you will be expected to be 100% in the office.
