Job Description:

Position Overview

The Senior Platform Architect is a strategic leader who bridges business vision and technical execution on the Braze Marketing Platform. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders alike—translating complex marketing requirements into scalable, high-performing platform solutions.

Reporting to the Platform Director, you will own the end-to-end technical direction for multiple client engagements, guiding onboarding, solution architecture, and ongoing optimization. You will champion collaboration across account management, operations, and delivery teams, ensuring every solution meets quality, compliance, and performance standards. Success in this role requires more than deep technical knowledge—it demands strong communication, creative problem-solving, and the ability to lead through influence rather than authority.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle—from discovery and scoping to launch and post-launch optimization—by setting clear expectations, removing blockers, and fostering accountability.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, leading technology discussions with confidence and translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.

  • Act as a liaison between account management, operations teams, and developer/engineers proactively aligning priorities and ensuring seamless collaboration.

  • Guide projects through governance processes by balancing time, scope, and compliance considerations while advocating for the best possible client outcome.

Solution Architecture & Technical Delivery

  • Gather business, marketing, and technical requirements through active listening and targeted discovery, synthesizing inputs into comprehensive solution designs.

  • Architect data feeds, platform configurations, and automated campaign workflows that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with client goals.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve client data feed issues with a resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset—leveraging documentation, platform tools, and peer expertise.

  • Develop project scoping and estimating guidelines that enable accurate planning and set realistic client expectations.

Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership

  • Stay current on Braze platform updates, cross-channel marketing trends, and emerging third-party integrations, and proactively share insights with the broader team.

  • Identify patterns in recurring client requests and champion internal process or tooling improvements that raise the bar for the entire organization.

  • Create, document, and evangelize best practices for the Braze platform, making it easier for teammates to deliver consistent, high-quality work.

  • Mentor junior team members by sharing technical knowledge, modeling strong client engagement, and providing constructive feedback.

Who You Are

You thrive at the intersection of people and technology. You’re the person teammates turn to when the path forward is unclear—not because you have every answer, but because you know how to find it, frame it, and rally others around it.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on architecture experience with the Braze platform.

  • Demonstrated experience in cross-channel marketing (Email, Push, SMS, Web Push, In-App Messaging).

  • Prior consulting or client-facing advisory experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills—you can simplify complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders and present with clarity and confidence.

  • Strong collaborative instincts with a track record of leading cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.

  • A resourceful and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving; you exhaust available tools, documentation, and networks before escalating.

  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and maintain composure under pressure.

  • A growth mindset—you seek feedback, invest in continuous learning, and help others grow alongside you.

Nice to Have

  • Braze certification or equivalent platform credentials.

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms beyond Braze (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable, Klaviyo).

  • Familiarity with data warehousing, API integrations, or BI/reporting tools commonly used alongside Braze.

  • Experience mentoring or managing technical consultants.

The annual salary range for this position is $94,000 - $160,075.

Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
