Location: Washington DC

Mode: 4 days onsite per week

Summary

The Salesforce Senior Developer is responsible for the hands-on design and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions across the platform, working within the architectural guardrails established by the Technical Architect and the solution designs provided by the Solution Architect. The role bridges solution intent and technical execution, translating well-defined solution designs into high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code and configuration.

The Senior Developer operates with a high degree of autonomy on complex development tasks, contributes to technical decision-making at the implementation level, and serves as a reference point for semi-senior developers on the team.

  • Develop for Financial Services Cloud (FSDM) and Experience Cloud portals.
  • Implement integrations (REST/SOAP, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Named Credentials) with logging and retries.
  • Ensure quality: clean, bulkified code; 85%+ test coverage; peer reviews; address performance and technical debt.
  • Support DevOps and releases with SFDX, Unlocked Packages, CI/CD; maintain clean metadata and environment parity.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide estimates, document solutions, and troubleshoot across environments.

Requirements

  • 5 7 years Salesforce development; strong in Flow, Apex, LWC, and platform configuration.
  • Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing) and least-privilege implementation.
  • Integration experience with error handling and monitoring.
  • Strong debugging across Apex, Flow, and integrations; source-driven development (Salesforce CLI, VS Code, Scratch Orgs).

Certifications

  • Required: Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II.
  • Preferred: JavaScript Developer I, Experience Cloud Consultant, FSC Accredited Professional, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud.
