Sales Executive – Transportation
Billtrust is seeking a driven “hunter” to expand our footprint in the Transportation vertical. In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle sales efforts, building relationships with executive stakeholders and closing new business for our best-in-class SaaS order-to-cash and payments solutions. You’ll show prospects how our cloud-based platform drives efficiencies, delivers cost savings, and transforms how they manage accounts receivable and payments.
What You'll Do:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and drive growth within the Transportation vertical.
Identify and prospect new clients through outreach, referrals, networking, and industry channels.
Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations that highlight the business impact of Billtrust’s solutions.
Build and nurture relationships with VP and C-Level decision makers and key stakeholders.
Partner with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Sales Development, and Sales Ops to manage leads and build strong deal flow.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Services, and Customer Success teams to ensure client needs are addressed.
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
What You’ll Bring:
5+ years of software sales experience (SaaS preferred), with a track record of exceeding quota.
Experience selling into finance, payments, AR/AP, ERP, or FinTech solutions is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of or experience selling into the transportation vertical is a plus.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with deal sizes of $50k–$100k+ ARR.
Strong knowledge of sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Challenger, Solution Selling, etc.) and ability to apply them in enterprise environments.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and virtually.
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology to customer outcomes.
Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Base Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 + commission Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. Billtrust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Our Talent Acquisition team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
