Description

Cogniac is on a mission to innovate how industrial companies conduct visual inspection tasks. Our software leverages the latest in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to make computer vision easier, faster and more accurate. Our customers include well-known auto makers, rail companies, and federal government agencies.  

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and highly technical sales engineer (SE) to join our team. You will play a critical part in our sales process working directly with prospective clients and helping them become happy customers. You’ll work closely with our Account Executives as well as other SEs, Project Engineers and our Customer Success team to win new business and grow our footprint in existing accounts. You’ll also get lots of interaction with our executive and product teams. Your workday will likely never be the same. You will deliver demos, qualify technical requirements, create technical proposals, and be a part of the entire customer journey all the way through deployment. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in the entire sales-cycle from introduction to closing the deal
  • Talk with potential customers, understand their technical requirements, and ensure Cogniac is a good fit
  • Demonstrate our product and highlight how Cogniac addresses specific use cases
  • Develop solution designs and deliver technical proposals
  • Work alongside our Account Executives to develop and execute winning account strategies



Requirements

  • Be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and wearing whatever hat is needed Required Skills
  • 5+ years of sales engineering experience in industrial automation
  • Experience working directly with customers and solving their problems
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment essential
  • Highly motivated, driven, passionate and a self-starter
  • Previous startup experience preferred • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
  • Travel ~50% or more (post-COVID)
