The Opportunity

The IT Risk Organization is seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst to create, modify, and maintain reports, including ad-hoc requests, to support business processes and informed decision-making. The role involves developing centralized dashboards (preferably in Tableau), utilizing APIs for data automation, and possessing strong data analytics skills to identify and track KPIs/KRIs, as well as conduct trending analysis for actionable insights.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:
  • Facilitates business projects of high complexity, size and visibility ensuring stakeholders champion decision making data needs.
  • Leads or directs the design, development and implementation and provides oversight of the maintenance of complex and sometimes unique business solutions, which may include data, reporting, business intelligence or analytics.
  • Utilizes a comprehensive understanding of multiple data structures and sources to Lead or direct complex and sometimes unique data manipulation using advanced data extraction and analytical tools and techniques.
  • Recognizes the connection between the business operations and analytics to influence business strategies and solutions.
  • Develops innovative reporting and story-telling approaches to address business problems and solutions.
  • Responsible for ensuring operational reports are complete, provide accurate data, and in compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Coordinates inputs from multiple sources, synthesizes data / information and creates qualitative commentary capturing key messages.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of experience in data analysis/extraction, statistics, data management, analytics and/or data reporting.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of data reporting/analysis tools and techniques and ability to use SQL and/or Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs, and charts.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance, risk management, and data security frameworks.
  • Experience in creating automated reports and interactive visualizations using tools such as Python and Tableau.

What sets you apart:

  • Proven experience developing and implementing centralized dashboards, preferably using Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize APIs to automate data reporting from data lakes, enhancing dashboard functionality and efficiency.
  • Experience designing and building dashboards from the ground up, including requirements gathering, design, development, and implementation.
  • Proficiency in writing scripts using Java and/or Python to extract, manipulate, and load data for dashboard creation.
  • Strong data analytics background with experience identifying and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and RAM - risk appetite metrics.
  • Experience conducting data trending analysis to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $114,080.00 - $218,030.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
