Job DescriptionPosition Summary:

Assist in performing exams in a timely and cost efficient manner, meeting quality and quantity standards. The purpose of the position is to provide diagnostic support in the Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (VDI) section within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) and Johnson Equine Family Hospital (JFEH). This position will enhance current personnel and operations by assisting in operating equipment to produce radiographic images, assisting with positioning, scheduling patients, maintaining patient records and supply inventories. This position will hold and transport patients to and from the imaging department. This class is appropriate as the position will perform clearly defined assignments and follow established work process and procedures within the diagnostic imaging operation.

At the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) we exist to educate the next generation of veterinarians by providing exceptional veterinary care and service to the community every day. This work unit exists to provide administration and direction of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and provide a support facility for service to the general public and referring veterinarians.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Transport patients between services

  • Manip Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires) ulates patients for Image Acquisition

  • Imports and records prior medical records into imaging software

  • Assists with Imaging efficiencies

  • Maintains appropriate supplies throughout service

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of Veterinary Anatomy

High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

Some college education

Salary Range$20/hour
