About SpartanX LLC

At SpartanX, our approach is straightforward: we pair top-of-the-line solar technology with unmatched value. We deliver reliable solutions for homeowners while empowering our teams to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact. To be a Spartan means to lead with purpose, embrace challenges, and create meaningful change. Our mission is driven by innovation, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in solar energy. Join our community of professionals shaping the future of clean energy, where every project reflects our promise of Solar Done Right.

About This Role

The Project Manager is responsible for full project ownership—overseeing every stage of a residential solar installation from intake through PTO. Acting as the main point of contact for the homeowner, the Project Manager ensures a smooth, transparent, and timely customer experience while coordinating cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, Scheduling, and Installation.

This position requires both strong project execution skills and deep technical knowledge of solar processes such as permitting, interconnection, and compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining operational excellence while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Overall Responsibilities

Project Execution & Ownership

  • Manage all aspects of residential solar projects from intake through PTO, ensuring adherence to timeline, quality, and compliance standards
  • Serve as the primary customer contact—hosting introduction calls, providing consistent updates, and ensuring a unified and positive customer experience
  • Track project progress across milestones: design approval, HOA submission, permitting, installation, inspection, interconnection, and PTO
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams (Design, Engineering, Scheduling, Finance, Compliance, and Operations) to keep projects moving efficiently

Technical & Process Management

  • Review and process change orders, manage redesigns, and ensure all updates are reflected accurately in Aurora and related systems
  • Oversee permit submission, interconnection applications, and lending compliance requirements
  • Handle and resolve escalations promptly, maintaining transparency with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with utility, AHJ, and lender standards at every stage of the project
  • Manage HOA approvals, document re-signing triggers, and post-installation support through PTO

Performance & Tools Management

  • Monitor and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project cycle times and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in project management platforms such as Subcontractor Hub, Optimus, Pronto, and Roam
  • Use data and reporting tools to identify bottlenecks, forecast completion timelines, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of project management experience, preferably in residential solar, construction, or a related technical industry
  • Strong understanding of the residential solar project lifecycle—including design, permitting, installation, and interconnection
  • Technical familiarity with Aurora, permitting workflows, and lender compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to explain technical details in a clear and empathetic way
  • Experience tracking and improving performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • Proficiency in CRM and project management tools such as Optimus, Roam, Pronto, and Subcontractor Hub (or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications.
