Job Title: Project Manager

Classification: Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Reports to: President

Work Location/Travel: Work is remote or on-site. Percentage of travel, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight, varies. This resource must be willing and able to travel as required by the customer project. This is generally negotiable, but not always, and could be as high as 75%.

Duties & Responsibilities

• A talented, energetic, and innovative candidate who can contribute to Oracle projects in an Agile environment.
• Prepare detailed project plans and execute projects within time, cost, and resource constraints.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure delivery aligns with timeline, scope, and budget.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage task dependencies and ensure successful project delivery.

• Produce and present weekly project status reports to stakeholders.
• Prioritize multiple projects during team planning meetings to optimize resource allocation.
• Lead and ensure successful delivery of Oracle and other CRM implementation initiatives.
• Manage teams responsible for application design, development, and support of Oracle-related projects.
• Ensure systems meet defined business expectations, oversee proper testing, and monitor performance in coordination with development teams.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and celebrate collective successes.
• Be a self-motivated, proactive team player with strong ownership.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills and adhere to established project standards and methodologies.
• Lead and manage end-to-end Oracle solution implementations.
• Oversee delivery from initial design through production support for Oracle-related initiatives.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in project coordination and project management roles, with a strong focus on Oracle implementations.
• Functional expertise in Oracle applications, with a solid understanding of business processes and system capabilities.
• Proficient in core project management practices, including issue, risk, and escalation management, stakeholder communication, and quality assurance.
• Hands-on experience delivering Oracle projects using various project management methodologies, with recent experience working in Agile environments.
• Successfully managed the implementation and enhancement of Oracle applications in alignment with defined business requirements.

Skilled in defining business requirements, writing user stories, and contributing to detailed system and functional design efforts; integration experience is a plus.

• Experience developing and maintaining support documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base content.
• Background in application support with familiarity in ITIL-based support frameworks.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including facilitation, stakeholder presentations, and negotiation.
• Consulting Cloud Certification or relevant Oracle certifications are a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• May assist with training members of the technical staff.
• May conduct interviews.
• Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.
• May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Work Environment:

The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide an office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• Bending, sitting lifting, driving.

Position Type and expected hours of work:

• Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field or commensurate experience required.
• At least 5 years of related experience required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Scrum Master Certified
