What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The hiring range for this position is $68,773 - $81,000.00/year, based on experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to:

• A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service

• 140 hours of PTO earned within first year + 13 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday, 1 Wellness Day and 1 volunteer day per year

NOTE: This position is a limited position, with an expected end date of 9/30/2029.

The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field three days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days. On designated onsite days, you will work at the Wellington E. Webb Municipal Office Building, located at 201 W. Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80202. You may also be required to attend local events based on operational needs.

What You’ll Do

Denver’s Workforce Development Division is seeking a Program Liaison to support the operational and business needs of the Workforce Industry Initiative unit. This position plays a key role in supporting jobseeker and employer services delivered through the Technology Employment in Colorado Partnership team, Denver Workforce Development, and the broader public workforce system. The role also provides support to contracted and system partners, as well as other Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) initiatives.

This role is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with businesses and hiring managers in targeted industries, including Cybersecurity, Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, and Quantum. Through these partnerships, the Program Liaison identifies and evaluates workforce and hiring needs, and collaborates with employers to develop and implement talent pipeline solutions. 

What You’ll Bring

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

• Workforce Development experience with a concentration on program management, business development, or sector partnership development
• Experience working and convening with employer partners, training providers, community-based organizations, and industry associations
• Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence platforms, MS Office Suite, and conferencing software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences

Minimum Qualifications

• Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in business development, computer sciences, workforce development or related field.
• Experience Requirement: Three (3) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)
• Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
• Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
