Define and govern enterprise and solution architectures across infrastructure, applications, integrations, and platforms. Develop target-state designs, reference architectures, standards, roadmaps, and right-sizing recommendations. Guide emerging technology evaluation, monitoring and observability strategy, system upgrades, and remediation. Partner with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to communicate trade-offs, improve service delivery, and ensure scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective technology decisions.

Associate City Planner reviews rezoning and sign-plan applications, interprets zoning codes and planning policies, manages public and internal review processes, drafts reports, presents to boards and councils, analyzes demographic and land-use data, facilitates stakeholder engagement, and supports regulatory and long-range planning initiatives.

Administers Denver’s construction contractor prequalification program by reviewing applications, financial statements, safety records, litigation disclosures, and completed projects. Coordinates supplemental documentation and reviews with city offices and attorneys, enters compliance data, prepares recommendations, and presents findings to the Prequalification Board. Maintains procedures and training materials, trains stakeholders, advises project managers on requirements, supports procurement meetings, and communicates decisions to contractors and city personnel.

Provides enterprise-level leadership and oversight of physical security operations for city facilities, employees, visitors, assets, and critical operations. Leads internal and contracted security services, risk assessments, incident management, emergency preparedness, vendor and budget management, policies, performance metrics, continuous improvement, and staff development. Collaborates with city departments, public safety agencies, facility teams, stakeholders, and security vendors while responding to urgent security matters.

Designs, installs, upgrades, monitors, and refreshes Cisco and Meraki enterprise network infrastructure. Diagnoses complex wired, wireless, voice, firewall, and outage issues; performs routing, switching, packet analysis, and SNMP monitoring. Collaborates with architects and city agencies, coordinates change projects and staff moves, maintains backups and documentation, and prepares handoff packages for network operations. The role is onsite in Denver with regular visits to other city buildings and requires obtaining CJIS clearance.

Leads year-round programming and activation for Denver’s downtown parks, public spaces, and outdoor venues. Oversees program development, event planning, contracts, partnerships, permitting, staffing, budgets, revenue generation, marketing coordination, and performance reporting. Builds relationships with community organizations, cultural groups, vendors, and city agencies while ensuring compliance, accessibility, safety, and financial goals. Supports strategic initiatives connected to Downtown Denver plans and the reopening of the Greek Theater.

Provides help desk and onsite technical support to court staff, manages user accounts, configures enterprise infrastructure and applications, maintains hardware, software, patches, and inventory, supports presentation and audio/video systems, monitors server and network performance, and participates in technology projects and a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Leads safety and security operations across 28 library locations, including policy development, emergency preparedness, continuity planning, incident investigations, audits, drills, reporting systems, security KPIs, and crisis de-escalation. Advises leadership, manages the Security Department, coordinates with city agencies, optimizes security staffing, facilitates safety committees, and supports disaster recovery planning.

Provides legal counsel and litigation representation for the City and County of Denver in employment and labor matters. Handles federal and state litigation, administrative proceedings, workplace advice, accommodations, wage and hour issues, policies, training, legal research, pleadings, settlements, and formal opinions. Advises on union organizing, collective bargaining, grievances, arbitrations, and unfair labor practices. Serves as lead counsel on complex cases and mentors junior attorneys.
