About HubSync
HubSync is a leader in tax and accounting automation and client experience software, empowering accounting firms and tax professionals to transform how they work and serve their clients. Built by tax veterans, our AI-powered platform consolidates every client touchpoint into a single, seamless interface: automating workflows, streamlining communication, and giving professionals the tools they need to focus on what matters most. Trusted by top CPA firms across North America, HubSync serves as mission control for tax professionals.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Product Owner to lead HubSync Workflow, our engagement management platform for tax compliance. Workflow consolidates returns, extensions, quality control review, assembly, and e-file transmission into a single, role-aware queue, replacing spreadsheets, email threads, and legacy practice management tools firms rely on today. It is also becoming the orchestration layer of the HubSync platform: the system that knows where every engagement stands and drives the next step across every other module. You will own the product vision and roadmap while also managing the backlog, leading sprints, and ensuring the platform accurately models the way tax engagements actually run. This is a build-and-strengthen role live with anchor firms and delivering actively, with meaningful groundwork still to lay.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product vision, roadmap, and execution for the HubSync Workflow platform.

  • Enforce strict sprint discipline according to the Product Owner Playbook, ensuring sprint scope is locked at planning.

  • Establish and execute a scored intake process to evaluate, prioritize, and ingest incoming product requests.

  • Structure and maintain standardized Jira tooling, including Epic-to-Story hierarchies, sized epics, and standing KTLO epics.

  • Map complex tax compliance cycles—including extensions, reviews, and sign-offs—into structured, measurable platform queues.

  • Drive Workflow's evolution as the central orchestration engine connecting all HubSync software modules.

  • Develop and maintain consolidated, approved requirements documentation as the single source of product truth.

About You

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a B2B SaaS platform environment.

  • Hands-on background running tax compliance engagements within a CPA firm prior to transitioning into product management.

  • Deep domain mastery of tax compliance workflows, due dates, extension filing, and review/sign-off cycles.

  • Proven experience enforcing strict sprint discipline and capability-based backlog organization in Jira.

  • Strong ability to translate complex, unstructured business processes into defined, scalable platform features.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge domain experts and software engineering teams.

Equal Employment Opportunity
At HubSync, we believe in fostering an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive. We proactively work to design hiring processes that promote equity and inclusion while mitigating bias. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome and encourage qualified applicants from all backgrounds who are excited to contribute to our mission.
