Summary:


At Trane Technologies, we challenge what’s possible for a sustainable world. We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to help shape and grow our residential digital product portfolio, with a focus on connectivity, mobile applications, telematics, and connected product experiences.

In this role, you will lead product strategy and execution across a suite of digital solutions that support technicians, dealers, and homeowners — including our Diagnostics web application, Technician mobile application, emerging IoT products, and future AI-enabled solutions. You’ll work at the intersection of software, hardware, and connected systems, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market and deliver meaningful customer value.

This is an exciting opportunity for a product leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys building connected experiences, and has a strong track record of delivering products from concept through commercial launch. The ideal candidate brings experience identifying and scaling opportunities that drive digital revenue growth, improve user adoption, and create differentiated customer experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and drive product strategy, roadmap, and execution for connected residential digital products.
  • Lead product development across mobile, web, IoT, connectivity, telematics, and AI-enabled experiences.
  • Partner closely with software and hardware engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions that connect physical products with digital applications.
  • Drive products through the full lifecycle, from concept, discovery, and business case development to commercial launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to drive digital revenue, expand monetization strategies, and support business growth through connected product offerings.
  • Translate customer, technician, dealer, and business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, go-to-market plans, and launch strategies.
  • Own product launch readiness in partnership with engineering, operations, support, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful commercialization.
  • Prioritize features and investments based on user insights, business value, technical feasibility, and strategic impact.
  • Collaborate with UX, engineering, data, operations, and commercial teams to create intuitive, scalable, and reliable product experiences.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders and help navigate tradeoffs in a fast-moving, cross-functional development environment.
  • Use analytics, customer feedback, and market signals to identify opportunities and improve product performance.
  • Help define the future of AI-powered capabilities that enhance diagnostics, service workflows, and connected home experiences.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Several years of product management experience with a strong record of delivering and scaling digital products.
  • Experience with connectivity, mobile applications, telematics, IoT, or other connected device ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success bringing products from concept through commercial launch, including experience with launch planning, adoption, and growth.
  • Experience identifying business opportunities and delivering products that contribute to digital revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated success working closely with both software and hardware engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of product development for digital platforms, connected systems, and technical customer workflows.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into product strategies and user-centered solutions.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and leading across cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
  • Experience in HVAC, field service technology, diagnostics, smart home, or connected equipment environments is a plus.
  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled products or data-driven digital solutions is a plus.


Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$148,991.66 - $189,800.00
