Overview
The Product Manager (Hammerhead Hardware) identifies and translates market needs into actionable items for developing new products and creating compelling product positioning stories. This role is responsible for setting go-to-market strategy and managing the product lifecycle end to end, acting as a champion for the product both internally and with key external partners.
Responsibilities
  • Lead products from concept to commercialization, driving product line strategy and marketing
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to define new product opportunities and improvements, identifying customer benefits
  • Partner with Engineering and Industrial Design to translate product strategy into detailed requirements; ensure products conform to design integrity, quality standards, and customer specifications
  • Establish SRAM as the preferred partner by leading strategy and approach for customer engagement and partnership
  • Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate how products meet customer needs
  • Negotiate with customers using value selling principles and a consultative selling approach aligned to sales strategy
  • Partner with responsible OE Account Managers, keeping them informed of business development status and coordinated communication needs
  • Analyze costs and sales; prepare business account reporting for the enterprise value stream
  • Participate in S&OP/demand planning and provide monthly guidance on product family volume and average selling price estimates
  • Support marketing initiatives by attending industry events and conferences
  • Provide pre- and post-sale technical assistance and product education internally and externally; develop training materials and conduct training sessions
  • Partner with Marketing to develop owner's manuals, sales support collateral, and launch materials
  • Develop product positioning and the product sales pitch; work with Marketing to identify and meet key targets on new and in-line product communication needs
  • Ensure PSDs are up to date, understood by key stakeholders, and designed to capture the full product scope
  • Conduct research and data analysis to ensure clear data is collected and presented to inform key product decisions inclusive of market share, pricing, financial performance and profitability across channels and global markets
  • Maintain an understanding of our products' technical and operational aspects in order to optimize decisions across product dimensions
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience; consumer electronics and IoT background preferred
  • Deep technical knowledge of respective product category
  • Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal, and in front of an audience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of marketing and product development
  • Excellent negotiation skills and consultative selling experience
  • Experience with AI workflows and tools
  • Ability to manage spending in line with corporate financial and strategic targets; responsible for product profitability
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Global scope; ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%
  • Comfort riding a bike in a customer-facing capacity, this could include demos, ride events, and in-field visits may require extended time on the bike
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting salary range: $80,000 to $140,000 based on skills and experience
