We are looking to hire  a  Principal Cloud & AI Swarm Solution Engineer on the Financial Services Team where you will play a pivotal role in helping our financial enterprise customers understand the value of the full Azure platform — AI, Applications, Infrastructure, and Data — across every stage of the development & deployment lifecycle. You will build trusted relationships with IT executives, architects, and business leaders to shape their Cloud and AI strategy, and you will design secure, scalable, and resilient architectures that support business-critical applications and Frontier AI transformation. As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll guide customers and win their technical decisions on Azure.


You bring deep, cross-workload expertise across Azure — AI, Applications, Infrastructure, and Data — while exploring how to accelerate Frontier transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Own technical sales with customers’ technical decision makers leveraging processes and tools, demos, programs, offers, and drive proof of concepts (POCs) using consultative sales methodology and technical expertise across other Solution Engineers to influence the customer vision.
  • Build trusted advisor relationship with customers’ technical decision makers and use proactive effort to find and understand customers’ pain points and work together with customers to co-develop secure & resilient solution architecture for production scale delivery using Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) best practices including Unified Support and Cloud Migration Factory (CMF) offer for every opportunity.
  • Overcome competitors and technical objections and manage customer escalation with Global Black Belt and engineering team to share insights and best practices for product improvements.
  • Maintain advanced certifications and deep technical expertise across priority workloads such as Azure AI Foundry, GitHub, App Services, Databricks, and Fabric, and contribute to Microsoft’s technical communities by mentoring peers, sharing insights, and serving as a spokesperson in internal and external forums.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience 
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience 
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience 
    • OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
  • 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 5+ years experience working across priority workloads such as Azure AI Foundry, GitHub, App Services, Databricks, and Fabric.
  • 6+ years experience leading technical projects.


Solution Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
