We are seeking a PMO Manager to lead and scale our Project Management Office (PMO). This role serves as both a senior Project Manager and people leader, responsible for managing a team of Project Managers while establishing standards, governance, and best practices across all project delivery efforts.

The PMO Manager ensures consistent, high-quality execution of Enterprise Health implementations from pre-sale through go-live, while driving accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

PMO Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support
  • Support onboarding and training of new Project Managers
    Serve as an escalation point for complex or at-risk projects
  • Balance resource allocation across projects to ensure workload sustainability
Project Portfolio Oversight
  • Maintain visibility into all active projects, timelines, risks, and dependencies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope
    Review project plans, forecasts, and deliverables for quality and alignment
  • Partner with leadership to prioritize projects and manage capacity planning
Standards, Governance & Process
  • Define, implement, and enforce project management standards and best practices
  • Ensure consistent use of tools, templates, and documentation
  • Oversee governance processes including change control, risk management, and approvals
  • Ensure project artifacts are properly maintained (Smartsheet, Google Drive, Redmine, etc.)
Stakeholder & Executive Communication
  • Provide regular portfolio-level reporting to leadership
  • Translate project data into clear insights, risks, and recommendations
  • Align with Sales, Product, Development, Integration, and Leadership teams
  • Support pre-sales efforts with scoping, timelines, and resource estimates
Financial & Resource Management
  • Oversee project budgets, hours, and utilization across the PMO
  • Monitor KPIs and delivery metrics at both project and portfolio levels
  • Identify risks related to scope, cost, or staffing early and proactively
Quality & Delivery Assurance
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
  • Support go-live readiness and successful handoff to support teams
  • Lead post-project reviews and lessons learned initiatives
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and scalability
  • Refine PMO processes as the organization grows
  • Champion a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience:
      • 5–8+ years of software/SaaS project management experience
      • 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience
      • Managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional projects
      • Pre-sales scoping, budgeting, and timeline planning
      • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders
  • Skills:
      • PMO leadership and portfolio management
      • People management and coaching
      • Advanced project planning, risk, and change management
      • Strong executive and client communication
      • Cross-functional leadership and escalation management
      • Financial oversight and KPI tracking
      • Proficiency with PM tools (Smartsheet, Google Suite, etc.)
      • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
      • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or similar certification
  • Experience in healthcare or medical software environments
  • Experience scaling or formalizing a PMO function
