About the Job

The Partnership Development Representative is where Tapcheck's next generation of partner-facing talent gets its start. You'll sit at the center of the channel and Express partnership motion: following up on event leads, managing inbound partner inquiries, and building the outbound pipeline that keeps opportunities moving from first conversation to demo.

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, you'll work closely with Partner Sales on channel and with the Express team, learning the full partner sales cycle from the ground up. This is a purpose-built track into a full Partner Sales role: the faster you master the fundamentals here, the faster you grow into ownership. With new partnerships leadership in place, Tapcheck is investing in scaling its partner ecosystem over the next two years, and this role is a big part of that growth.

What You'll Do

Cover the Events-to-Demo Pipeline

  • Follow up promptly with event attendees so leads don't go cold after channel events

  • Manage and advance prospects through the events → scheduled → demo-completed funnel

  • Reduce the leakage created by the channel team's heavy travel schedule

  • Write concise handoff briefs so Partner Sales can move qualified partners into deal conversations quickly

Manage Inbound Partner Inquiries

  • Own timely response and triage for inbound partner inquiries

  • Route inquiries to the right owner across channel and Express as needed

Support Express Partner Conversions

  • Own outreach to Express partners who've opted out, working to convert them to Precision

Drive Net-New Prospecting

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to build net-new partner opportunities for the team

  • Map the payroll, HCM, PEO, and broker landscape to identify and prioritize high-value partner targets

  • Research prospective partners' client bases, integrations, and existing EWA relationships to sharpen outreach

  • Clearly articulate Tapcheck's value to partners and the employers they serve, and handle early-stage objections

Own Operational Reporting

  • Maintain and improve internal and partner-facing operational reporting

  • Track outreach performance, including meetings booked and partner-sourced pipeline, and test new messaging and sequences to improve results

  • Share market and competitive insights from partner conversations with Sales, Marketing, and Product

Engage Partner SMB Accounts

  • Drive attention and engagement with SMB accounts inside larger partners (e.g., ADP Instant Activation) that currently get limited coverage

What You've Done

Required

  • Spent 1+ years in a sales development, business development, or partner-facing outbound role

  • Built and worked a pipeline from first outreach through a scheduled meeting or demo

  • Consistently met or exceeded activity and meeting targets

  • Managed a high volume of inbound and outbound activity without letting things fall through the cracks

  • Communicated clearly and professionally with prospects and partners over email, phone, and in person

  • Operated with a high degree of ownership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Stayed effective and organized amid ambiguity and shifting priorities

Preferred

  • Worked in a channel, partnerships, or platform-ecosystem sales motion

  • Used CRM and pipeline-tracking tools such as Salesforce

  • Used prospecting and sales engagement tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Gong

  • Gained exposure to the payroll, HRIS, HCM, WFM, or ERP ecosystem

  • Gained exposure to earned wage access, fintech, or payments

  • Supported conferences or industry events, including pre-event and post-event outreach

  • Expressed interest in growing into a full Partner Sales role
