About the Job
The Mechanical Execution Coordinator is responsible for ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective execution of mechanical maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Support and improve preventive and predictive maintenance practices to enhance plant performance and operational efficiency.
What you'll be doing
- Communicate clearly on information relating to potentially dangerous
situations and get confirmation that they are correctly understood.
- Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment among the team.
- Participate
in the Plant Improvement Plan (PIP).
- Check for safety and cleanness across plant.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and shutdown
maintenance activities to ensure all mechanical jobs are executed efficiently
with execution quality mindset to minimize disruption to production across all
shop equipment in the plant.
- Drive technical initiatives that will ensure
100% equipment reliability through proactive maintenance, condition monitoring,
and timely intervention.
- Review daily inspection feedback from
patrollers/inspectors, prioritize schedule work orders from the CMMS weekly and
ensure all tasks are clearly executed weekly to achieve a target of above 90%.
- Ensure availability of manpower, tools,
spares, and consumables for the team before job execution and optimization
resource utilization across all shops in the plant to avoid idle time.
- Plan and coordinate major shutdowns, ensuring
all mechanical activities are scoped, resourced, and completed within schedule
and within budget.
- Ensure strict adherence to preventive
maintenance schedules weekly in Quarry, Raw Mill, Kiln, Alternative Fuel, Coal,
Cement Mill, packing plant, utility shop and continuously improve PM strategies
in the plant.
- Lead rapid response to mechanical breakdowns,
ensuring root causes are addressed and eliminate recurrence.
- Collaborate with stores and the Mechanical
manager to maintain minimum inventory levels on critical spares and eliminate
stock-outs.
- Coordinate and supervise external
contractors, ensuring compliance with scope, safety standards, and expectations
tasks execution quality.
- Ensure all mechanical activities comply with
Huaxin HSE standards, including permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and
safe execution practices daily.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance for
complex mechanical issues Quarry, Raw Mill, Kiln, Alternative Fuel, Coal,
Cement Mill, Packing plant, utility shop daily.
- Identify improvement opportunities using
reliability tools Parento, RCA to enhance equipment performance and reduce
downtime.
- Track and report key maintenance KPIs such as
MTBF, NAI, NSFI, Schedule compliance and Workorder backlog.
- Work closely with mechanical planners across
all shops and production coordinators to align maintenance schedules with
operational requirements and minimize production losses.
- Ensure all jobs are executed based on
approved maintenance procedures.
- Work closely daily with all shop sectional
engineer daily and assigned resources on areas of maintenance needs and
supervise technicians, craftsmen and ensuring competency, productivity, and
continuous team skill development.
- Ensure all required tools, lifting equipment,
and special devices are available, inspected, and fit for purpose before
execution.
- Monitor maintenance costs, control
expenditures on maintenance services, and implement cost-saving initiatives
without compromising on equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance
activities, failures, and improvements to support audits and continuous
learning.
Requirements
- Good
knowledge of cement manufacturing processes.
- Good
knowledge of safety laws and regulations.
- Good written
and verbal communications skills
- Excellent
leadership and administrative skills
- Good
knowledge of Reliability based maintenance practices.
- Good problem-solving skills
through the root cause failure analysis.
- Minimum
5 years’ postgraduate experience in execution (Mechanical)
- Proficiency in the use of
maintenance tools like SAP etc.
