Title- Manager /Sr. Contracts Manager – O&M - Renewable Energy

Basic Function

As a member of the Supply Chain team, the Sr. Contracts Manager - O&M will play a crucial role in developing, drafting, negotiating, and executing O&M contracts, amendments, spare parts agreements and LTSAs for our renewable O&M projects. The Sr. Contracts Manager – O&M will be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. They should possess excellent organizational skills, be capable of managing multiple contracts simultaneously, demonstrate excellent follow-through skills, and have the ability to meet strict deadlines.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end administration, negotiation, and execution of O&M and spare parts agreements for PV, BESS, and high voltage equipment, serving as the primary commercial contact with service providers and OEMs.
  • Manage all O&M contract amendments, change orders, extensions, and terminations to align with project requirements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Oversee RFPs for O&M and major maintenance scopes, including document preparation, bid evaluation, negotiations, and award recommendations.
  • Review, negotiate, and administer tracker, inverter, transformer, and BESS supply and service contracts, including warranties, performance guarantees, availability guarantees, and liquidated damages.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to ensure contract terms support operational strategies, performance targets, and financial objectives.
  • Develop and manage performance guarantee frameworks, including metrics, testing protocols, measurement and verification methods, and remedies.
  • Direct spare parts and critical spares strategies, including stocking levels, pricing, lead times, logistics, and warranty interfaces.
  • Lead contractual support for outages, major maintenance, and retrofit/repowering projects, ensuring clear scope, optimal commercial terms, and appropriate risk allocation.
  • Maintain organized contract documentation, including templates, executed agreements, correspondence, change logs, and performance records, to support clear audit trails and portfolio reporting.
  • Track industry best practices, market pricing, and regulatory or code changes affecting O&M, BESS, and high voltage work, and recommend updates to contracts and strategies.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or JD is a plus.
  • Proven experience (preferably 5+ years) as a O&M Contracts Manager, with specific expertise in renewable energy sectors.
  • Data center experience a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, contract negotiation, and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and wind.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess contractual risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.

The position could require up to 20% domestic travel (once normal travel requirements resume).

 Base Pay - $140,000 - $190,000

The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks—while ensuring internal parity across our team. In addition to competitive base pay, total compensation may include a discretionary annual bonus, a long-term incentive plan aligned with our ownership mindset, and a market leading comprehensive health and wellness benefits package.
