Job Posting Title:Manager - Security Systems

    

Job Description:Plans, organizes, and manages staff and overall security systems to ensure the stable operation of the DCSD Security infrastructure. Schedules and directs activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and supports the District’s standards for student achievement and safety through the use of innovative, efficient and effective technology infrastructure. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

    

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

    

Responsibilities:

--- Collaborate with department, district and school administrators to align technology infrastructure strategies and architectures with the District Strategic plan for establishing a world-class educational environment.

--- Develop and implement periodic testing of normal and emergency communication devices to maintain adequate level of emergency preparedness in conjunction with state and local emergency response agencies.

--- Collaborate with IT Managers to develop project management policies and tools for the delivery of successful IT projects. Gather metrics and implement changes to improve department performance.

--- Maintain various databases for District security and law enforcement records to provide accurate and timely production of evidence for criminal investigations and District disciplinary measures.

--- Develop and implement training for District Security staff regarding alarm monitoring, closed circuit camera systems, access control systems, communication systems and onsite response to troubles and alarms to ensure efficient and effective response to requests for service.

--- Provide direct supervision of staff in the development, implementation and support of District-wide security infrastructure technology including standards, processes, support structure, team building, continuous process improvements, project adoption and innovative technical infrastructure architectures (servers, storage, network, cameras, etc.).

--- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

--- Oversee management, procurement, contracting, and security of district technology infrastructure, monitor alarm status of facilities and systems, analyze and determine the cause of any problems or malfunctions and recommend solutions to be implemented to ensure the protection of District properties and assets 24 hours per day.

--- Provide strategic and tactical technology leadership, expertise and support to department and district personnel, in the effective use and implementation of security technology infrastructure.

Minimum Hire Rate: $68,325.64 USD Annual

   

Maximum Hire Rate: $85,914.41 USD Annual

   

Full Salary Range:$68,325.64 USD - $103,503.19 USD Annual
  • All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE.

   

Benefits:This position is eligible for health, vision, dental, health savings account (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), District paid and voluntary additional (supplemental) life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short and long-term disability, critical illness and accident voluntary insurance, employee assistance program (EAP), voluntary 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement plan options. There is also a voluntary 403(b) savings plan with up to 4% District match for up to 5 years from date of hire.

Time Off Plans:This position is eligible for paid off-track, sick and personal time.
