This role partners closely with IT Project Management and cross-functional teams to promote, foster awareness, and support organizational processes and system changes. From strategy through execution, you will help ensure that technology transformations are not only implemented, but adopted, understood, and embraced across the organization.

You’ll play a critical role in designing and delivering training programs, building communication strategies, and driving change initiatives that enable teams to operate effectively in evolving systems and environments.

This position sits within our IT department and reports to the Senior Manager- IT Platform Support. You will work on-site at UDR headquarters located in Highlands Ranch, CO, with flexibility for a hybrid schedule. Open to remote outside of CO.


Essential Functions:

  • Participate with IT project delivery teams in the active execution of projects, focusing on the technology side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, organization structure, and job roles.
  • Develop and execute communication plans surrounding technology changes.
  • Define activities to support technology focused change and transition initiatives.
  • Integrate change management activities and tasks into project plans.
  • Define and measure success metrics to ensure change is embraced and adopted.
  • Create draft announcements targeted directly at leadership and the field to provide detailed information about a project. As defined, manage communication plan for announcement delivery.
  • Track and report issues through the course of the technology changes.
  • Develop training plan and cadence of training for assigned projects.
  • Ensure required training per role is accurate for each Operations related application.
  • Create content to be delivered during training and provide FAQs/Tips & Tricks for properties to use as reference after initial training.
  • Facilitate training live and on-line as needed, to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and ensure that training offered meets and conforms to the Company’s operational policy and procedure, considering any regional or market specific requirements.
  • Utilize knowledge of specific associate positions and tailor training to ensure essential job functions are covered to improve individual associate performance.
  • Create and maintain accurate records and attendee lists for all training sessions delivered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, respond with urgency, interact with the associate, and provide collaborative solutions.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math and statistics.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Educate and coach project team members, sponsors, and functional leaders on change management principles, tools, and their roles in effective change.
  • Drive day-to-day change management activities while providing the appropriate levels of support and coaching for the organization.
  • Effectively design, gain alignment, and successfully execute significant change initiatives from project start to finish.
  • Ability to develop, proof, and implement training materials.
  • Availability and flexibility to travel.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to facilitate meetings and training presentations.
  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and objectives simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience managing projects is required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in a similar change management or training role.
  • Property experience is a plus.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license unless otherwise noted.

Salary Range

  • $98,000-$115,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus up to 10%
