SUMMARY:

This position guides individuals facing addiction or mental health challenges in career development, manages IPS staff, and oversees program implementation. It provides comprehensive job search support, including coaching, community outreach, organizing volunteer and internship opportunities, and developing employer relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following tasks are necessary for the role. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Supervise and mentor IPS employment specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations.

Monitor staff caseloads and outcomes to ensure delivery of quality services.

Lead team meetings and coordinate staff schedules.

Develop personalized employment and education plans that align with IPS-supported employment principles.

Provide supported education services to assist with career advancement.

Build relationships with employers through targeted outreach, emphasizing program benefits and client strengths.

Deliver individualized support for job retention and client engagement.

Create job support plans that incorporate input from the treatment team.

Facilitate employer accommodation and maintain follow-up contact as needed.

Guide clients through decisions regarding benefits (SSI, Medicaid) and coordinate benefits counseling.

Participate in the Colorado IPS Learning Community and attend meetings at the IPS Employment Center.

Establish partnerships with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation offices.

Conduct community outreach initiatives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employment Specialists at the program.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Associate's degree in human services, business administration, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Five (5) years of relevant experience, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Other:

A valid driver's license and current insurance are required.

Strong communication skills and intermediate computer skills are required.

Demonstrated experience with IPS model implementation.

Strong leadership skills and conflict resolution.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The maximum expected weight for any physical moving requirement should not exceed 25 lbs. The individual must be able to stand, walk, and sit, including driving, for long periods. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Most of the work performed for this position is done in an office setting and in the community.
