We are seeking a strategic and experienced Immigration Manager to lead the immigration team (currently one direct report), as well as our organization's US immigration and mobility efforts. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of employment-based visa sponsorship and ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations. As a key advisor and partner to HR, Legal, and business leaders, the Immigration Manager will drive process improvements, manage external counsel, and deliver exceptional support to employees navigating the immigration process. Your Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization's immigration and global mobility function, developing and executing strategies for non-immigrant (OPT, EAD, H-1B, E-3, TN) and immigrant (EB-2, EB-3) visa sponsorships
- Oversee end-to-end case management, ensuring timely and compliant execution of petitions, extensions, amendments, transfers, and permanent residency filings
- Serve as the subject matter expert and primary advisor to HR, business leaders, and employees on immigration policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel, ensuring accurate preparation and timely processing of all immigration cases
- Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable federal immigration and Department of Labor regulations, including LCA postings, public access files, and PERM recruitment requirements
- Provide strategic guidance and support for global mobility matters and inter-office transfers
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company's immigration programs
- Develop and deliver training and communication materials to educate stakeholders on immigration topics
- Champion a high-touch, employee-focused approach to immigration support and services
- Collaborate closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Legal teams to align immigration strategies with workforce planning
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve immigration processes, systems, and vendor performance
- Lead or support special projects related to HR operations, global mobility, or compliance initiatives
Your Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate immigration or global mobility, with at least one (1) year in a leadership or management role
- Deep understanding of U.S. immigration law and employment-based visa processes, including PERM
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of an organization
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience managing external immigration counsel and working in cross-functional teams
- Experience with immigration case management systems and vendor portals
- Skilled in data tracking, reporting, and translating metrics into actionable insights
- Workday HRIS experience preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or related certification a plus
