Provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. Assists with employee records, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, attendance, and general HR activities while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment and hiring process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Prepare and process new-hire paperwork, employment documents, and onboarding materials.
  • Assist with employee orientation and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Enter, update, and verify employee information in HR databases and systems.
  • Assist employees with questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, attendance, and other employment matters.
  • Support payroll administration by reviewing timesheets, attendance records, and employee information for accuracy.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Track employee attendance, leave requests, vacation, sick time, and other personnel information.
  • Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, letters, forms, and other documents.
  • Assist with employment verification requests and other personnel-related documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, interviews, orientations, and HR appointments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, and other sensitive information.
  • Ensure HR records and documents are organized and maintained according to company policies.
  • Assist with employee communications and distribution of HR policies and announcements.
  • Support performance review processes and other employee-related programs.
  • Assist with compliance-related paperwork and required HR documentation.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls, and employee requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Work closely with managers and other departments to resolve employee-related administrative issues.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and document management.
  • Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous HR, administrative, office, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software.
  • Ability to learn and use HR information systems and employee databases.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Professional, dependable, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with employees and management.
