Creates print and digital graphics for corporate, resort, marketing, sales, hospitality, social, and PR initiatives. Responsibilities include branding, logo development, art direction, copywriting, presentations, mood boards, production coordination, proofing, client collaboration, and managing multiple creative projects. The role works with marketing teams, internal clients, vendors, account managers, and production designers to deliver accurate, strategic creative assets on time.
This position is a critical member of the marketing department. This role will assist the Sr. Marketing Manager(s), along with additional team members, in developing print and online creative executions for Corporate multi-resort initiatives such as Big Snow, Advance Lift Tickets, Executive projects/presentations, new initiatives and other lines of business that are deemed priority. This position will be responsible for the design of digital and traditional graphic requests from the department’s internal customers, and vendor relationships applicable to the development and production of digital and traditional support materials.
Responsibilities:
- High-level to production-level graphic design of creative projects such as, but not limited to: Multi-resort corporate initiatives, Social, PR, HR, hospitality, sales needs, EpicPass/EpicMix overflow, resorts and additional strategic efforts when deemed priority – including logo development and branding
- Responsible for on-time delivery of projects by working with Account Manager and team
- Work directly with department Senior Manager and Account Manager (s) in responding to requests with regards to graphic assets, photo/video requests collateral requests, shoot production and design concepting of new projects that come through on a weekly, seasonal and annual basis from internal clients
- Work within project management tools (ex. Trafficking excel spreadsheet, status sheets, job request forms, time tracking) and help with improving tools
- Collaborating with brand/division marketing and sales personnel to capture and respond to graphic design needs
- Assist in proofing and editing all content for accuracy
- Assist with various strategic level work as assigned by the Senior Marketing Manager, Director of Integrated Marketing Services and other department leaders within the company
- Provide creative direction and overall project vision, including art direction and copywriting when requested
- Write strategic pitches and proposals that guide creative direction and strategy for presentations to sell-in ideas and concepts
- Actively participate in internal client kick-off meetings. Offer insights and steer projects towards the most accurate strategic direction when it comes to design
- Put together mood boards, storyboards and other related design-oriented projects for photo and video shoots and projects
- Interpret client feedback, and offer effective alternative solutions when necessary
- Work with and guide production designer to execute overarching ideas, repurposed work or design work from scratch
- Assist in finding ways to make Creative Services team more productive and efficient
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or similar coursework
- 5-8 yrs of graphic design experience
- Experience providing Art Direction to other designers preferred
- Computer proficiency required in addition to experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite and experience managing multiple and large graphic files
- The ability to work with print production, collateral design and a working knowledge of print production materials
- The ability to work with digital files such as Website skins, email templates, social media graphics and banner ads
- Creative problem solving skills, critical thinking and ability to give presentations and pitches
- Ability to function independently and as a productive member in a team-focused environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities
