WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

FINISHER

  • Taking ownership of Rusin’s “Core Values.”
  • Working with a team!
  • Complying with safety standards and aware of all surroundings.
  • Precisely setting formwork for pours.
  • Thoroughly compacting base material.
  • Precisely performing fine grading of base material.
  • Detailing the fabrication and installation of reinforcing steel.
  • Properly placing concrete inside of formwork.
  • Screeding/striking-off of placed concrete.
  • High-quality floating and handwork that is flat and smooth, and free of any blemishes or trowel marks!
  • Being attentive to detail when hand finishing around drains, penetrations through slab, at edges, and around forms
  • Precision layout, proper spacing, and installation of hand-tooled, or saw-cut control joints

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

  • One year of concrete experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year general construction experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms and mix/pour/finish concrete.
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
  • May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings, weekends, shift work and possibly be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer.
  • Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy and dusty environments.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

  • Hourly Range: $23.60 - $31 DOE

  • Sick Leave – Max 6 days (48 hours) per year calendar year.
