The Director, Integration Enablement is a key leader within the Global Integration Management Office (IMO) responsible for building and continuously improving the integration management capabilities that enable successful execution of the firm's acquisition and integration strategy. The role serves as a strategic partner to the Head of the IMO, developing the governance frameworks, methodologies, reporting, tools, templates, and best practices required to deliver integrations consistently and effectively across the portfolio.
This position combines integration expertise, operational excellence, governance, portfolio management, and executive stakeholder engagement to establish a scalable integration capability that supports future growth through acquisitions. The role leads integration enablement across reporting, playbooks, tools, templates, M&A pipeline visibility, and due diligence oversight within the proposed IMO structure.
Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration Capability DevelopmentDesign, implement, and continuously enhance the firm's integration methodology and operating model.
Develop and maintain integration playbooks, tools, templates, standards, and best practices.
Create repeatable processes that improve consistency and reduce execution risk across transactions.
Capture lessons learned from integrations and institutionalize them into future practices.
Own the IMO reporting framework, dashboards, scorecards, and executive communications.
Develop KPIs and performance metrics to track integration success while partnering with value realization.
Provide portfolio-level visibility into integration status, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
Support executive governance forums, steering committees, and decision-making processes.
Maintain visibility into the acquisition pipeline and integration readiness activities.
Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, HR, Technology, and business leaders during diligence and planning phases.
Coordinate due diligence findings and ensure identified risks are incorporated into integration plans.
Support transition from deal execution to integration delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve integration effectiveness and efficiency.
Evaluate and implement technology solutions to support integration management.
Develop training materials and onboarding resources for integration team members and workstream leaders.
Support the maturation of the IMO as a strategic enterprise capability.
Partner with executive sponsors, functional leaders, integration leads, and external advisors.
Influence decision-making across multiple stakeholder groups without direct authority.
Facilitate alignment across business, operations, technology, and support functions.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of experience in M&A integration, transformation, PMO leadership, consulting, or related disciplines.
Experience designing enterprise governance, reporting, and operating frameworks.
Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
Experience developing executive reporting and presenting to senior leadership.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Professional services industry experience.
Experience supporting multiple acquisitions and integrations simultaneously.
Knowledge of due diligence, merger integration, and synergy tracking practices.
Experience implementing portfolio management, reporting, or workflow technologies.
Within the first 12-24 months, this role will:
Establish the firm's integration reporting framework.
Develop and deploy core integration playbooks and methodologies.
Build repeatable governance and portfolio management processes.
Improve executive visibility into integration performance and risk.
Create a foundation that enables the IMO to scale as acquisition activity increases.
Serve as the primary architect of the firm's integration management capability.
The base salary range for this position is between $187,500 and $359,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
