JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a strategic, experienced Director of Communications to lead our corporate, executive, and internal communications. In this role, you will shape our narrative, elevate our brand, and ensure employees, partners, and customers feel informed, inspired, and connected to our vision and values.

How you will Own it:

  • Lead Strategy: Define and bring to life Driven Brands’ enterprise communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and long-term growth objectives and key results.
  • Executive Messaging: Craft compelling narratives, messaging, and presentations for the CEO and leadership team that build trust, drive clarity, and inspire alignment.
  • Internal Communications: Design and deliver engaging, transparent, and innovative communication strategies that connect employees to our vision, strengthen our culture, and enable meaningful two-way dialogue.
  • Crisis & Reputation Management: Anticipate and lead response efforts for high-stakes situations with poise and strategy. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and HR to ensure consistent, cohesive messaging across all audiences/channels.
  • Brand Communications Partnership: Serve as a strategic communications partner to our brand leadership teams, advising/supporting brand-level communications to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, voice, and priorities while respecting brand individuality.
  • Communication Effectiveness: Continuously evaluate and optimize communication impact through engagement assessments, feedback loops, and data-driven insights.

What you will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, including senior leadership roles supporting C-suite executives
  • Proven success in executive communications, media relations, and corporate storytelling
  • Experience partnering with multi-brand organizations to align enterprise and brand-level communications while preserving distinct brand voices
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Exceptional judgment and experience navigating complex, high-profile opportunities

Position Location:

North Carolina

Compensation Range:

$117,600.00 - $210,000.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
