WORK ENVIRONMENT:
We are a remote first company. This role, as most of our positions, is remote. You may be required at times to visit client sites or attend meetings at designated locations.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Digital Lending Specialist at Nymbus, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end lending process for both consumer and commercial products across our client financial institutions. This position focuses on loan origination, documentation review, compliance, funding, and post-closing activities. While lending will be your primary focus, you will also be cross-trained on digital onboarding processes to provide coverage and support for the broader team when needed.
You will work in multiple systems—including loan origination systems (LOS), core banking platforms, and third-party verification tools—to ensure loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, client-specific policies, and internal fraud prevention protocols. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a high-volume environment, and expertise in lending procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to:
- Review and process consumer and commercial loan applications from submission through funding in the loan origination systems (LOS).
- Verify applicant information, supporting documentation, and creditworthiness according to client lending policies.
- Ensure accurate preparation and documentation for all loan closings, adhering to client standards.
- Maintain organized and compliant loan files, including required checklists.
- Identify and escalate potential fraud, irregularities, or compliance concerns in loan applications.
- Support quality assurance reviews, lending audits, and compliance requests.
- Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
- Assist in testing and providing feedback for new lending features, system integrations, and lending process improvements.
- Provide backup support for digital account onboarding workflows as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or financial services with direct experience in lending operations; onboarding experience a plus.
- Hands-on experience with LoanPro or other loan origination system (LOS) strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of core banking systems and digital banking environments.
- Understand automated underwriting tools, processing, and factors in credit policies and documentation attributable to different loan types
- Experience with KYC/CIP, AML, and lending compliance requirements.
- Strong background in loan documentation review and processing; familiarity with deposit account processes is a plus.
- Detail oriented and can recognize the warning signs of high-risk applications
- Maintains an advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, best practices and regulatory guidance related to the loan products, deposit products and services offered by Nymbus on behalf of client financial institutions and fintech partners.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and comfortable working across multiple platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
HOURS:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
- Flexibility for extended hours or rotating weekend coverage as needed, based on client or project requirements.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
- $50,000 - $60,000 Annual Salary
