What would you do?

Position: DevOps Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Jersey City NJ (Onsite Hybrid 3 days a week work from office)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in infrastructure as code, UNIX scripting, monitoring and logging tools, cloud computing, and deep understanding of the DevOps lifecycle. This role involves managing CI/CD infrastructure, troubleshooting infrastructure challenges, and fostering a culture of automation and collaboration.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
  • Strong scripting skills in UNIX/Linux environments
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms
  • Comprehensive knowledge of DevOps lifecycle and best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Linux-based application deployments
  • Expertise in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools and automated pipelines
  • Understanding of networking and security in containerized environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure ensuring availability, performance, and automation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues effectively
  • Collaborate with the development team to create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines following agile methodologies
  • Work with infrastructure teams to design and implement secure automated deployment pipelines across testing environments
  • Maintain and monitor OpenShift and container orchestration platforms to ensure high availability, security, and reliability
  • Partner with cloud engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize OpenShift container performance and management
  • Automate DevOps processes and implement checks to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Promote a DevOps culture emphasizing automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the organization

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of networking, security, and resource management in containerized and cloud environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and detail orientation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
