Job Duties and Responsibilities

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level transactional attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role is ideal for a versatile attorney looking to build a career at the complex intersection of hardware procurement, software integration and implementation, and strategic commercial partnerships. You will work closely with our Enterprise Supply Chain group assisting the broader enterprise with the procurement of products and navigating the software and service agreements that drive our company forward. This is an in-person position located at our Englewood, Colorado office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements, including purchase and manufacturing agreements, software and technology agreements, and master services agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, subject matter experts, and business leaders to identify, assess, and resolve legal, privacy, intellectual property, regulatory, and product issues
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on contract interpretation and vendor relationships, translating complex contractual and legal risks into concise, business-oriented guidance that enables senior leadership to make informed strategic decisions
  • Proactively mitigate legal risks across business transactions by identifying potential issues and developing actionable resolution strategies
  • Work closely with our Enterprise Supply Chain group to improve and implement processes that facilitate scalable and efficient contracting while developing relationships and procedures to enhance collaboration and working relationships with various business teams
  • Work closely with EchoStar executives and business stakeholders at the appropriate level to provide legal support on initiatives and assist with other matters as needed

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or international equivalent
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state with the ability to meet the admission requirements in Colorado
  • 4-6 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house, with a focus on commercial transactions
  • Experience working in-house with the supply chain group of a large company is a plus

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $208,725.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
