Provide operational support to ensure catalog quality, maintain routing and rate systems, analyze vendor costs/volumes, perform audits and validations, act as Compass Operations superuser, and implement corporate QEM/audit recommendations.
Provides business-related support for the operations process to ensure catalog quality for correct business steering and provides management information and operational analysis. As a Coordinator, the incumbent in this position applies advanced skills, serving as a resource in resolving complex, non-routine problems, and issues. They may orient, train, and check the work of other team members.
Responsibilities- Ensure weekly maintenance and quarterly system updates are accurate and up to date
within NUS, as it relates to costs - Provide ad-hoc statistics from all relevant systems to support analysis from Management
and Operations Staff - Coordinate and perform maintenance of Base Route Catalogues
- Create and update rates within the online rate system, and coordinate maintenance of
vendor hierarchy in organization catalogs - Analyze costs and volumes per vendor
- Superuser for Compass Operations and train or organize training for other users in
Compass Operations - Maintain bank holidays and steering catalogs for Transport Dispatch Center
- Maintain equipment supply costs
- Maintain standard cost (ad-hoc CSC, chassis standard cost, EQP standard cost, etc.)
- Routing network maintenance in accordance with PREX - Define base routes, location,
missing inland routing, GEO coordinates, inland restrictions, and re-define location
structure - Responsible for the execution of the ICCL, follow-up on the exemption with other areas,
and proper documentation and approvals in the system. - Ensure compliance with QEM standards in RNA Operations.
- Facilitate the implementation and communication with recommendations from corporate
departments (Audit, QEM, etc.). - Perform quality audits and validations.
- Associates Degree and 2 years’ experience in the Maritime Industry or the equivalent
combination of education and experience preferred. - Understands most shipping terms; can use a dictionary to find terms not recognized. Is
willing to clarify shipping terms unique to a location. Understands routings, schedules and
general practices of various countries, carriers, ports, and terminals. - Knows what type of equipment must be made available at what locations, depending on
shipping schedules and types of goods shipped. - Understands the requirements for using climate-controlled containers in shipping special
goods. Knows where to source special units and generator sets and the requirements for
their placement on ships, handling by ground transportation companies and repair. - Understands requirements for maintenance and repair of shipping equipment and is
skilled in repair. Knows what various repairs require in time, procedure, and cost. Skilled
in identifying quality repair work and that which is unacceptable. - Proficient in MS Office (e.g., MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and other software
appropriate to work demands.
