Johns Manville Roofing Systems is looking for a Commercial Excellence Specialist who enjoys solving problems, improving the way teams work, and turning data into insights that drive better business decisions.

In this highly collaborative role, you'll work across our Commercial, Customer Service, Finance and Technology teams to identify opportunities, improve processes, strengthen our use of Salesforce, and help translate commercial data into actionable insights.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who brings together business acumen, analytical thinking, Salesforce/CRM expertise and a continuous-improvement mindset. If you're the person who naturally asks, “How can we make this simpler, smarter and more effective?” this role could be a great fit.

What You'll Do

Drive commercial process improvement

  • Identify opportunities to simplify and connect disparate processes into more effective, integrated commercial workflows.
  • Partner with Commercial and Customer Service teams to uncover pain points, identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Lead small- to medium-sized projects focused on improving commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to better leverage Salesforce to improve processes, visibility and user experience.

Be a Salesforce and CRM resource

  • Serve as a Salesforce/CRM subject matter expert for Commercial and Customer Service teams.
  • Support reporting, process optimization and effective CRM adoption.
  • Help onboard and train new users so they can confidently use Salesforce as part of their day-to-day work.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to translate commercial needs into practical CRM improvements.

Turn data into business insight

  • Gather, validate and analyze commercial data to help leaders identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Transform large or complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Help develop meaningful performance metrics for Commercial and Customer Service teams.
  • Use business intelligence tools to strengthen visibility and support data-driven decision-making.

Support high-impact commercial priorities

  • Partner with Commercial leaders to prepare insights, analysis and presentations for key business meetings, customer visits and events.
  • Collaborate across functions, including Commercial, Customer Service, Finance and Technology.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives led by senior Commercial Excellence team members.
  • Help create scalable processes and tools that make it easier for teams to deliver results.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales operations, commercial operations, business analytics or a related area.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with CRM systems, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and resources.
  • Strong project management, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.

What Will Help You Stand Out
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, data or process improvement.
  • Experience improving commercial, sales or customer-service processes.
  • Experience developing KPIs, dashboards or other commercial performance metrics.
  • A track record of working across business and technology teams to solve operational challenges.
  • The ability to communicate data and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curiosity, initiative and a mindset of continuous improvement.
Why This Role

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain existing processes. You'll help improve how our commercial organization works.

You'll have the opportunity to work across functions, solve meaningful business problems, influence how Salesforce and data are used, and help build more effective and scalable commercial capabilities.

For someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of business, technology, data and continuous improvement, this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact across the Roofing Systems business.
