As Purchasing at Magna Steyr, we have our hands on the pulse of the company and manage two important interfaces: those with our customers and those with our suppliers.
We bring new automotive groups together with their future supply base and thus contribute to the realization of exciting business models.
We regularly tap into cost potential for well-known automotive groups and make a significant contribution to the competitiveness of their products.
Your tasks
- Responsibility for the entire purchasing process regarding inquiry and offer processing, negotiations, orders and contracts for English-language projects for materials and components
- Performing Request for Quotations in cooperation with the specialist department, creating and maintaining global/local supplier portfolios, doing negotiations and contracts, including deadline and key figure tracking
- Representation of purchasing interests in interdisciplinary teams
- Independent organization of your purchasing agendas and coordination within the team
- Creating SAP contracts and order processing
- Carrying out procurement market analyses and deriving company-oriented sourcing strategies
- Proactive identification of cost reduction measures, active participation in process optimization and contribution of ideas
- Independent takeover of the area of responsibility after a completed training phase and ongoing support through mentoring
- Independent organization and implementation of supplier workshops
What we are looking for
- Completed technical/commercial studies with business knowledge or completed commercial training
- Purchasing experience in automotive is an advantage
- Basic technical understanding
- Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel)
- SAP skills

- High level of problem-solving skills, assertiveness and resilience
- Occasional willingness to travel
