About the role

Zillow Home Loans is seeking a dynamic Business Operations Manager to drive execution of strategic initiatives and operational excellence across our mortgage business. This is a high-impact role for a self-starter who thrives working cross-functionally and is passionate about shaping the future of home lending.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Fulfillment, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to execute strategic initiatives that move the business forward.

• Lead the launch of innovative loan products, from ideation through go-to-market execution, ensuring seamless integration across teams.

• Develop and implement new cross-functional processes that drive measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs), optimizing efficiency and customer experience.

• Analyze complex data sets to identify opportunities, inform decision-making, and measure the impact of initiatives.

• Present solutions, recommendations, and results to senior leadership, influencing direction and driving alignment across the organization.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $124,000.00 - $198,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• Minimum 8 years of mortgage industry experience spanning multiple disciplines (e.g., operations, product, underwriting, sales, or technology).

• Demonstrated ability to excel in a variety of mortgage functions, with a deep understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle.

• Proven track record of taking ideas from concept to execution, independently building solutions that deliver business value.

• Self-motivated and proactive; you anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and act without waiting for direction.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to create, interpret, and present data-driven insights.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing stakeholders at all levels.

• Experience working with Salesforce, Encompass, and Blend
