Description

About the Role

We are a growing restaurant group looking for a 20 hour per week, part-time Business Administrator to join our Restaurant Support Office team. This person should be highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and have a "no job is unimportant or too small" attitude. This is an hourly position to start, with opportunities for growth and development.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys bringing order to moving pieces, solving problems, and making sure important tasks don't fall through the cracks. One minute you may be working through business license renewals and permit requirements, and the next you may be requesting a W-9 for a new vendor, approving invoices, building an Excel tracker, or helping tackle an unexpected operational project.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, as well as collaborating together, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and knows how to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is both task-oriented and flexible—someone who can stay focused on deadlines while quickly adjusting when the day takes an unexpected turn.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Restaurant Support / Business Administration / Office Operations

  • Assist with supporting our teams by responding to email inquiries from management and team members.
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Communication with vendors to resolve discrepancies and account issues.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, trackers, reports, and other organizational tools.
  • Assist with a variety of administrative and operational projects, including the Urban Egg Anniversary Program.
  • Help develop and improve processes to keep the Business Office organized and efficient.
  • Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with restaurant operations, leadership, vendors, government agencies, and other external partners.
  • Jump in and assist with new projects and priorities as business needs change.

Business Licensing & Compliance

  • Manage and maintain business licenses, permits, registrations, and related renewals.
  • Track expiration dates and renewal deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
  • Communicate with local, state, and other regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation related to licenses, permits, and business registrations.
  • Assist with licensing and permitting requirements for new restaurant locations, relocations, remodels, and other business changes.
  • Research requirements and follow processes across multiple states and jurisdictions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with business licenses, permits, registrations, or regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  • A proactive mindset and strong follow-through.
  • Comfort working in an environment where priorities can shift throughout the day.
  • The ability to research problems, identify solutions, and take ownership of getting things resolved.

Benefits:

  • Matching 401(k) (auto-enrolled after 6 months of employment)
  • Employee Assistance Program for mental, emotional, and financial well-being (available to all team members, family, and household members).
  • Norton LifeLock
  • On-Demand Pay (access your pay when you need it)
  • Paid time off (PTO)

Benefits for full-time team members:

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
