About the role

As an Associate Account Executive at CoverForce, you will operate at the front line of a company that is becoming the distribution infrastructure for commercial insurance. This is a role for someone who wants to run toward impact, learn how to prospect into complex organizations, and build a career in enterprise sales. You will not be waiting for leads. You will be creating the earliest sparks that turn into multi-year contracts with some of the most influential players in the insurance industry.

This job is split between two main responsibilities.

First, outbound prospecting into our top ICPs across Brokerages, Wholesalers, Agency Networks, PEOs, and insurtechs. You will research accounts, understand their structure, identify the right people, and craft targeted outreach that earns attention. You will also handle inbound leads with speed, clarity, and accuracy. In both cases, you are the first impression of CoverForce and a critical part of our go-to-market engine.

Second, you'll work directly with the Head of Partnerships. The partnership team is focused on bringing early-stage startups and net new enterprise ICPs onto our API.

As part of our Startup Program, you will own deals, not support them. Within your first quarter you'll be running your own conversations from first call to signed contract — qualifying applicants, running discovery, and closing.

The Startup Program is still early, so you'll have real influence over how it works: the intake flow, the process, the materials, and the partners we bring into the marketplace. You'll own the day-to-day of the Startup Program while also working side-by-side with the partnerships team to develop GTM motions for new enterprise ICPs that aren’t a focus today. High volume matters here, and high quality matters even more. You'll become fluent in how commercial insurance distribution works and how technology is changing it, see what real enterprise selling looks like up close, and accelerate your development as a full-cycle seller.

This position is based in-person in New York City or Denver.

What you will do
  • Make 60 or more live outbound calls every day.

  • Set 10 or more qualified meetings every week for the Account Executive team.

  • Own proactive outbound prospecting into top Brokerages, Wholesalers, Agency Networks, payroll platforms/PEOs, and insurtechs.

  • Handle and route inbound leads with clear and fast triage.

  • Build account maps, identify buying centers, and find the people who care about distribution modernization.

  • Tailor messaging that resonates with leaders navigating complex operational, technical, and growth challenges.

  • Work closely with Account Executives to align on strategy, context, and handoff quality for every meeting.

  • Own Startup Program deals end to end and support enterprise deal process in conjunction with partnerships team.

  • Maintain impeccable CRM hygiene with accurate funnel activity, notes, and next steps.

  • Track industry shifts and competitive movements so you can speak with insight and confidence.

  • Bring ideas that sharpen our outbound motion and help shape a world-class go-to-market team.

You are an ideal fit if
  • You have 1 to 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within tech or insurance.

  • You thrive in an environment where volume, consistency, and curiosity separate good from great.

  • You are energized by outbound work and enjoy the mix of research, pattern recognition, and outreach.

  • You are confident in written and verbal communication and can simplify technical or operational concepts.

  • You are disciplined with tools like Salesforce or HubSpot and treat CRM accuracy as part of the job.

  • You want real coaching and real responsibility.

  • You want to be part of a team that moves quickly, raises standards, and expects your best.

    Compensation and benefits

  • Total Compensation: $75,000 - $120,000

  • Competitive equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Home office stipend

  • Full healthcare coverage for you and your family

  • Parental leave for all types of parents including adoption and foster care
