3 Colorado startups named to Inc.’s 500 fastest-growing companies list

Earlier this week, Inc. Magazine revealed their list of 2016’s 5000 fastest-growing companies. Among the top 500 were Fort Collins’ Aleph Objects at No. 122, Denver’s Apto at No. 175 and Denver’s Welltok at No. 304. The list ranks companies based on their three-year revenue growth. [Inc.]

 

Apto relocating to LoDo

On the heels of being named to Inc.’s 500, commercial real estate tech company Apto announced this week they’ll be relocating to a new office in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood. Since coming to Denver from Houston almost a year ago, Apto has taken up residence in Galvanize’s Golden Triangle campus. Following accelerated growth in both team size and revenue, the company will be leaving the creative workspace for a renovated 100-year old building at 1730 Blake St., just blocks away from Union Station. Galvanize raises $45M Series B

Denver-based Galvanize announced this week the closure of a $45 million Series B. With this new round, Galvanize plans to continue building out their educational programs and job placement partnerships with companies like Tesla, Amazon and Pivotal. They’ll also place particular emphasis on strengthening their partnerships with employers to re-skill existing employees. [Built In Colorado]

 

City of Centennial partners with Lyft to tackle transit challenges

The city of Centennial announced a partnership with Lyft this week aimed at solving the “first mile” issue of public transit. Through a $400,000 public-private partnership, Lyft will provide free rides to and from the Dry Creek light rail station. Called GoCentennial, the partnership will be a six-month test to determine whether it will incentivize more people to take public transit instead of driving. [Denver Business Journal]

 

FullContact acquires Conspire

On the heels of a $25 million round last week, FullContact announced this week they’ve acquired Boulder’s Conspire, a company that uses email data to identify connections between individuals and automates building networks. FullContact will use Conspire’s technology to boost their cloud address book service, connecting users with people they may not have realized were in their network. FullContact and Conspire are both former Techstars companies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. [Blog post]

 

Ramen, Inc. launches new email outreach product

Earlier this week, Boulder startup Ramen Inc. expanded its portfolio with the launch of Pluck, an email outreach tool that allows companies to identify and contact potential new customers through their use of keywords on Twitter. [Pluck]
