
Slack continues growing Denver presence, acquiring Robots and Pencils' Missions team
Denver-based digital agency Robots and Pencils announced this week that its product, Missions, was acquired by Slack. The AI-fueled workflow automation tool empowers non-developers to create simple and useful workflow integrations within the Slack platform. The Bay Area tech giant has been eyeing Denver for its second headquarters since May, while discreetly growing a local office. Denver Startup Week schedule announced
Denver Startup Week released the program schedule for its annual event on Wednesday, after combing through nearly 1,200 submitted sessions and over 25,000 votes from the community. Startup Week, which is touted as the largest free entrepreneurial event in the world, will take place September 24 through 28 and feature 376 individual sessions and events. OverWatchID quintuples office footprint and relocates to Denver to continue expansion
OverWatchID, which develops holistic identity security software for businesses, announced plans this week to grow its operations in a new, larger office space in Denver. The new office, located at 900 S. Broadway, will nearly quintuple the current capacity of the startup’s Tech Center office, expanding it from 2,500- to 9,000-square-feet. The new space will support the company’s rapid growth, which was accelerated this year by a $2.25 million seed round led by Rockies Venture Club as well as the addition of several key customers, including Datavail, Frontier Airlines and Richey May. Conga leases 88,000-square-foot office space to grow global headquarters
Broomfield-based Conga announced this week that it plans to consolidate its various regional offices into one global headquarters, based here in Colorado. In order to accommodate the expansion, the document automation company will move into an 88,000-square-foot office space in the brand new Atria office complex in Broomfield. The company recently closed a $47 million round of funding in May, bringing its total VC funding to $117 million. Xero and Gusto team up to bring full-service payroll software to more small businesses
Cloud-based accounting company Xero and HR software provider Gusto teamed up this week to bring Gusto’s full-service payroll software to Xero’s small business accounting platform. The partnership first began five years ago, when Gusto made an integration with Xero available to its customers. According to the company, the Xero integration is one of the most popular in Gusto’s ecosystem. Through the expanded partnership, the two companies will develop deeper technical integrations to provide a seamless experience for Xero’s client base of small business owners and accountants.
