#5. $12 million, October 5
After a year in stealth mode, Denver-based Elevate publicly launched and raised $12 million to modernize the pre-tax benefits industry, including HSAs and FSAs benefits. The startup plans to hire 12 people to grow its current 14-person team by the end of the year. The company also plans to open an office in the Denver Tech Center in the first quarter of 2022.
#4. $19 million, October 12
Celebrity Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter invested in one of Colorado’s new tech startups, Flowhub. The company works with cannabis dispensaries to make sure they remain legally compliant by syncing up with state regulators through APIs. Flowhub recently appointed former Uber executive Leandre Johns as its COO and will continue to expand its team.
#3. $50 million, October 4
The $50 million Series C round brings Sunday’s total funding raised to $78 million. The Boulder-based green lawn care startup offers a direct-to-consumer subscription service aimed at helping people week out herbicide and pesticide use on residential lawns. The startup will use its latest funds to accelerate growth across new product lines and grow its 70-person team to 110 over the next year.
#2. $52.5 million, October 26
The Denver-based company raised $52.5 million to continue its efforts of modernizing mortgages. The company is seeing major growth, and is one of the fifteenth fastest-growing software companies in the country, according to Inc. 5000 data. Maxwell focuses on making the mortgage process cheaper and more efficient for smaller lenders and is looking to increase its number of employees.
#1. $66 million, October 19
The latest investment round increased JumpCloud’s valuation from $2.56 billion in September to $2.625 billion. The company is a cloud-based directory platform for IT professionals to securely connect employees to applications, enterprise systems and other resources. The Louisville-based company is currently hiring for dozens of open positions.
