Colorado Tech Quote of the Week

“Recycling facilities really saw our technology as a bridge to operational continuity. When COVID [hit and] people were out sick, there was concern about working in close proximity. Robots facilitate social distancing naturally. It just accelerated what was already happening with some of these jobs that are in difficult environments, like recycling facilities.” — Carling Spelhaug, senior PR and marketing communications manager at AMP Robotics

AMP Robotics is conducting a hiring push. The Louisville-based robotics company develops modern solutions for the recycling industry. It just added 65 new team members so far this year and now has an approximate headcount of 150. Next on the agenda for AMP is hiring 75 more people across all departments with a focus on positions in engineering, production and operations. [Built In Colorado]

These startups could make the next big thing in Colorado tech. With their sights set on big time growth in the coming years, five early-stage Colorado-based companies are hard at work innovating new solutions for a variety of industries. Featured this quarter are ranch management platform AgriWebb, IoT startup CarePenguin, pet health company ClueJay, healthtech messaging app Serenity Engage and live-streaming platform Zealous.
