Apple to employ up to 700 in BoulderOn its mission to help reignite the U.S. economy over the next five years, the tech giant is investing $430 billion to create 200,000 tech jobs across the country. It’s planning to hire new talent in metro tech hubs including the Greater Boston area, Boulder and Culver City with a focus on silicon engineering, AI, 5G and manufacturing. [Built In Colorado]

Automox pulled in $110MThe company’s cloud-based tech helps IT professionals manage their operations. Having largely grown its customer base last year, Automox is looking to further its momentum of growth with a hiring spree fueled by its Insight Partners-led Series C. Unsupervised raised $35MIts platform automatically compiles and analyzes enterprise data to help users get a better grasp on where they could make improvements and take advantage of opportunities. Pixel8earth was acquired by SnapThe latest addition to a string of companies conjoining with social media company Snap is Boulder-based 3D mapping developer Pixel8earth. It uses photogrammetry to create 3D models of locations, and it’s joining forces with Snap’s teams in augmented reality and mapping. The deal was closed for $7.6 million. [Built In Colorado]

DispatchHealth acquired Professional Portable X-RayThe company that offers on-demand at-home health services (and raised more VC funding in 2020 than any other Colorado startup) is adding tech and talent from mobile imaging company PPX. It plans to bring imaging to its customers as well as expand its current capabilities to include mobile radiology. PPX will also integrate into DispatchHealth’s clinical service offerings.
