NYC-based BetterCloud is coming to Denver.

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) management company experienced rapid growth over the past few years as more people continue spending their workday bouncing between multiple SaaS applications, such as Google Drive, Salesforce and Microsoft Office. BetterCloud helps information technology (IT) professionals discover, manage and secure all SaaS applications on one platform.

BetterCloud began building a Denver team earlier this month by hiring former Twilio executive Jamie Tischart. Tischart, who is located in Colorado, will serve as BetterCloud’s chief technology officer (CTO). To build up this team, the company plans to hire 30 to 50 new employees this year and a similar number next year.

The company currently has a small team working remotely in Colorado but hopes to find office space in the Denver metro for 150 to 200 employees later this year, Tischart said. The Denver office will become the company’s engineering hub.

“Denver, in my opinion, is one of the most exciting places to attract engineering talent,” Tischart said. “Not only do we have amazing talent here, but people are flocking to Colorado.”

Tischart has previous experience leading technology and product teams at McAfee, Intel and, most recently, Twilio.

“The adoption of SaaS is accelerating at lightning speed right now due to the move to remote work,” Tischart said in a news release. “This has made BetterCloud’s role in IT even more mission-critical as (SaaS operational) teams work to empower their remote workers during this challenging time. Their dedication to their customers and the IT community is inspiring, and I am ready to do my part in furthering their efforts by ensuring we continue to innovate on the BetterCloud platform.”

BetterCloud was founded in 2011 and has raised $187 million in total capital to date, including a $75 million round led by Warburg Pincus announced last summer.

In his new role, Tischart is tasked with accelerating technological innovation and expanding BetterCloud’s platform, according to the release.
