Misty Robotics sent out its personal robot to over 500 crowdfunding backers. The company began shipping the robot to backers this week, ahead of its expected public release later this year. The robot named Misty II can be programmed to accomplish all sorts of tasks. Hotel Engine raised $16 million Series A after years of bootstrapping. This marks the company’s first external investment. Hotel Engine helps businesses book hotel stays for their employees. It has partnered with over 200,000 hotels since its launch in 2014. The company also recently announced 300 percent year-over-year growth. The company plans to add between 80 and 100 employees across all divisions in Denver. [Built In Colorado]

Forge Nano scored $8 million from LG Technology Ventures and Mitsui Kinzoku-SBI Material Innovation Fund. This brings the company’s total funding to $18 million, thanks to a $10 million investment from Volkswagen in January 2019. Forge Nano specializes in nano-coating technology, which can help machinery with corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, improved strength and other benefits. [Press release]

Dapix secured $5.7 million in Series A funding. Dapix is the blockchain company behind the FIO Protocol, which is designed to make transactions easier between cryptocurrency wallets. With FIO, crypto wallet addresses are simpler and easier to remember, and people can request funds from other wallets. The FIO Protocol has already been adopted by Bitcoin.com, Trust Wallet, Atomic Wallet, My Crypoto and several other crypto wallets. [Press release]

Engage Mobilize closed a $4.5 million Series A.
