Job Description and Duties

At Sentral, we are building a team of people-first focused individuals who thrive on going above and beyond. Ideal candidates will exemplify a can-do attitude, a growth mindset, and an entrepreneurial drive. Successful candidates will be proactive, solution-oriented, and have strong ownership of their work. The Yardi Support Specialist serves as Sentral’s internal Yardi platform expert, ensuring operational continuity across all managed properties, from onboarding new assets to winding down dispositioned ones. This fully remote role reports directly to the Director of Product and requires comprehensive, end-to-end knowledge of the Yardi platform. The ideal candidate works cross-functionally with transitions, operations, and finance teams to keep Sentral’s Yardi environment running accurately and efficiently.

This will be a fully remote position.

  • Ticket Response & Issue Resolution: Monitor, triage, and respond to incoming Yardi support requests during normal business hours in accordance with established service-level expectations. Provide timely communication and status updates to requestors, prioritize issues based on business impact, and coordinate resolution through internal teams and Yardi support when necessary.
    • Escalate unresolvable issues to Yardi vendor support with detailed, well-documented cases and manage them through to resolution, acting as the primary liaison between Sentral and Yardi’s support and technical teams.
  • Yardi training to users based on recurring ticket submissions to mitigate on go forward.
  • Ongoing trainings and best practices communication to Yardi users
  • User Access Management: Provision new user accounts and assign role-based permissions aligned with each team member’s job function. Audit and maintain user access on an ongoing basis, deactivating accounts for departing employees in a timely manner and ensuring access levels comply with company security standards at all times.
  • Department & Entity Maintenance: Manage department-level changes as the organization evolves, including activating and inactivating departments as needed. Ensure all properties and entities are correctly enrolled in the correct reporting groups, partnering with finance and operations to validate that entity configurations reflect the current business structure.
  • New Asset Onboarding & Property Configuration: Configure property lists and system settings for each newly onboarded asset so properties appear correctly across all relevant views, reports, and modules from transition day.
    • Set up units in partnership with transition teams, including unit type setup, floor plan mapping, amenity coding, rent schedules, and occupancy status.
    • Build out the full marketing infrastructure for new assets, including ILS feeds, listing setup, prospect tracking, and digital marketing integrations, so properties are ready to lease from day one.
  • Custom Reporting: Collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership to build and maintain custom reports tailored to Sentral’s needs. Troubleshoot report configurations and refine outputs as business requirements evolve, supporting the delivery of scheduled reports and ensuring report accuracy across the portfolio.
  • Property Disposition & Decommission: Execute the full Yardi shutdown process for properties being dispositioned, including deactivating units, closing marketing, and archiving data. Coordinate with finance and operations to ensure a clean system handoff with no residual data issues upon disposition.

Skills and Experience

  • B3+ years of hands-on Yardi Voyager experience in a multifamily residential environment, with demonstrated breadth across platform modules
  • Deep, working knowledge across the full Yardi platform, including leasing & residential (Voyager, RentCafe, screening, lease execution, renewals); marketing (ILS feeds, listings, pricing, availability syncs); accounting & finance (GL, AR/AP, CAM reconciliations, bank syncs); maintenance (work orders, vendor setup, inspections); reporting (custom reports including AR aging); and system administration (users, roles, departments, property lists, corp/CPall groups)
  • Experience managing department structures and consolidated reporting groups (corporate and CPall) in Yardi
  • Experience configuring property lists and system settings during new asset onboarding and transitions
  • Experience setting up properties, units, and marketing configurations from scratch, ideally in a transition or acquisition context
  • Proven ability to manage user access and role-based permissions with an understanding of security best practices
  • Proven ability to prioritize and respond to support requests under SLA-type time constraints
  • Strong written communication skills for ticket documentation, escalations, and cross-team coordination
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
